Abigail's Wings

Abigail Elizabeth Grimm

Abigail's life started like a lot of babies. She was born healthy and happy to a family full of love and joy waiting for her. This was a child that never had heard a harsh word or harsh hand. She was loved by her mom Emily, grandma Margaret, grandfather Phil, aunts and uncles Bill and Cindy, Erick, Lisa and Tennessee, Terry and Butch, Sara and a bunch more people. This was a baby the entire neighborhood fell in love with. She had many extended friends and family! She was a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day for everyone. It had been a hard year and she was the light. Abigail was always smiling and giggling. She loved to be held and to cuddle with whoever was doing the holding. She remained that way until SIDS took her on October 30, 2006.

Thank you for coming to share our love of Abigail. This is a story of celebration not death. Please make sure you visit the links page and learn about Sids and the ways you can help prevent this horrible tragedy from happening to your family or to other loved ones. It is not something you can completely prevent, but there are ways of helping it not happen to you.

Thank You so much to Michelle for this tag.  She to has felt the loss of an infant.  You can visit Kierney Mallory Mitchell at her site the link is in the links.  Thank you again for this beautiful tribute!

God Sent To Me An Angel
Paul Dammann

God sent to me an angel, it had a broken wing.
I bent my head and wondered
"How could God do such a thing?"

When I asked the Father
why He sent this child to me,
the answer was forthcoming,
He said "Listen and you'll see."

"My children are all precious,
and none is like the rest.
Each one to me is special,
and the least is as the best.

I send each one from Heaven
and I place it in the care of those who know my mercy,
those with love to spare.
Sometimes I take them back again.

Sometimes I let them stay.
No matter what may happen I am never far away.
So if you find an angel and you don't know what to do,
remember, I am with you, love is all I ask of you."
